Monique Maye is a native of New York City, where she attended Brooklyn College, and earned a degree in Political Science. She has a Masters degree in Sports Management and a Law degree from Massachusetts School of Law. During her collegiate career, Ms. Maye lettered in softball and basketball. Beyond her collegiate years, she played and coached professional basketball in Europe. She also coached basketball at the collegiate level at Brooklyn College, New York City and Northeastern University, Boston Massachusetts.
Moreover, while building a client base spanning the national and international markets, Ms. Maye, created basketball camps and tours for professional athletes to showcase their talents for international basketball scouts. She successfully negotiated program support from corporate sponsors.
Following law school, Ms. Maye established Maye & Associates Sports Management, representing a host of male and female basketball players transitioning from college to professional sports. Over the years her firm has represented and marketed for NBA, WNBA college coaches and International athletes. She created an entertainment division where she consults artist with contract negotiation and marketing. Maye also advises playwrights, authors and film producers.
With devotion for developing talent, Monique has spent several years as a Professor building the Sports Management program at Columbia College Chicago. Monique teaches in the Business & Entrepreneurship department developing courses in Sports management, talent management, Sponsorship and entertainment marketing.
